Security

EzProcessPro utilizes one of the most trusted hosting facilities in the nation to protect your company and client data. VeriCenter is not only one of the top four hosting centers in the country, they are also one of the most secure. New laws in many states, written to protect the public, are turning more and more large corporations to higher level hosting facilities such as VeriCenter. Facilities such as these have proven to be the most effective and cost efficient means of protecting your company from potentially costly loss of information.

VeriCenter has recently just acquired a core portion of Sprint's hosting division, and now possesses a nation wide footprint in the industry.

How secure are they? Their client list includes the FBI, Microsoft, the Texas Lottery, Sprint, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and NASA. In fact all of the delicate and precious communication networking between NASA and the Mars rover are being hosted by the same company that EZ Process Pro software is using to ensure that your information is accessible to you at all times but still safe from outsiders. The fact that organizations such as the FBI and NASA trust their work and source of income to VeriCenter proves it is one of the most preferred methods of transferring safeguarded information.

Not only do they protect your data and make sure it is always no more than a few clicks away, they also do the backups for you every night, monitor the system resources, and do software upgrades and patches so that you don't have to. What does this mean? Well, you can go back to running your company, and stop worrying about what happens or how much money you will have to spend if your internal server goes down. VeriCenter and EzProcessPro are your answer.

Rapid Secure™ Features
Rapid Secure establishes a secure border between VeriCenter and the public Internet and private networks. Using redundant and highly available routers, firewalls and security infrastructure, this border ensures your data is protected. VeriCenter further secures your data by passing all traffic through advanced intrusion detection systems (IDS) which allow all normal traffic to pass without delays, but can automatically lock out an intruder while notifying the VeriCenter security team.

Security doesn't stop at the border within VeriCenter. Our infrastructure has been selected and designed to provide the highest degree of management and security throughout our environment. The SecureService employs private VLAN technology to monitor traffic traveling within the VeriCenter network and to control which traffic is permitted to pass among VeriCenter-managed systems. These internal processes protect traffic between Web servers, applications servers, and database servers while providing the highest degree of security possible.

Data Privacy
In the Rapid Secure environment, VeriCenter uses a multi-tier approach to protect customer data in our network security architecture. First, at the network layer, VeriCenter segments the network into multiple smaller networks based upon the types of communication that a hosted application requires. For example, Web based e-Commerce applications run on a separate network from Citrix ICA-connected applications. This network layer separation allows firewalls to implement separate security policies for each network. Second, the networks are divided into separate VLANs based on the role that servers play in the application architecture. Web servers sit on a Web-only VLAN; database servers sit on a database-only VLAN protected by further firewall layers. Third, each customer's systems are isolated from all other customers through the use of private VLANs. Finally, all data center staff members are employees of VeriCenter and have successfully passed a thorough background check.

SiteVault™
VeriCenter has created SiteVault, a highly secure three-tiered architecture for customers that require the highest level of security. The SiteVault model consists of a development environment, staging environment, and production environment.

Building on the foundation of VeriCenter's Rapid Secure network architecture, SiteVault enhances security through additional best practice security policies and procedures. For example, VeriCenter restricts access to production systems so that access is allowed from the HostCenter only. Customer update access is provided through the use of staging servers that publish content and application code to the production site after testing and analysis. This publication process involves a tightly controlled change management process involving the customer and VeriCenter. These environments afford the customer the ability to perform secure Web development, as well as testing and staging in a controlled environment, and then perform a managed rollout to the production environment without sacrificing security.

Other benefits of SiteVault's three-tiered environment include version control, quick recovery from Web site or application crashes, reduced hardware costs at the customer or developer site, and a production environment that is fully protected from development and modifications.

Fully Managed Firewall Protection
Protect your network with a full range of firewall services and control access to your critical systems and data. A single breach of security from outside or from within your organization can cripple your business. In the age of the Internet, you need a new level of network protection —a comprehensive solution that will keep pace with the rapidly changing world of Internet security. VeriCenter’s SecurityCenter Firewall Service utilizes industry-leading equipment to reliably examine each network packet seeking entry to, or exit from, your network.

Protection from Attacks
At the data center border, our routers run Cisco's IOS Firewall feature set, creating a state-aware packet filter. Next, Cisco PIX firewalls deny all traffic except what has been explicitly permitted. Intrusion detection systems and software from leading vendors such as Cisco Systems and PentaSafe are used to monitor all activity entering the data center while in addition, all communications are scrutinized behind the firewalls of each sub-network.

Intrusion Detection Services
Intrusion Detection Systems provide an extra layer of protection that firewalls can’t. Firewalls are effective gatekeepers, denying access to recognized security threats. However, when coupled with VeriCenter’s SecurityCenter Intrusion Detection Service (IDS) you can go one step further.

SecurityCenter IDS analyzes each network packet and is able to identify suspicious activities that could represent a potential danger to your critical systems. SecurityCenter IDS sniffs network packets and monitors packets to prevent potential and known threats from coming back. Our IDS service uses Cisco’s IDS product, an industry-leading scanning technology, to continually examine data traffic, alerting our security engineers to known vulnerabilities that may suggest an attack or malicious activity.

All connections and events are logged, analyzed, and alarmed by our Intrusion Detection System probes, allowing our security engineers to recommend action to keep your data resources secure. VeriCenter participates in the FBI Infragard program to benefit from shared information about attempts and detections against our networks. This allows VeriCenter to be aware of hostile activity sweeping the Internet before it can reach the data center. As a preventative measure, an intrusion response team has been formed which regularly explores intrusion scenarios.

VeriCenter’s SecurityCenter packages have built-in firewalls and IDS redundancy to protect your data in the unlikely event of a system failure.

Virtual Private Network (VPN) Services
(VPNs) provide secure communication to your environment to allow you to access your systems and to pass data securely across the public Internet. Through encryption, authentication and access control, your network's privacy is protected.

VeriCenter’s SecurityCenter VPN tunnels are ideal for LAN-to-LAN and extranet connections, or for providing secure Internet access to your network. You can easily expand your secure network by adding additional VPN connections. All VeriCenter Firewalls have built-in VPN connections (either site-to-site or remote access). Additional connections are available for an incremental charge. VeriCenter also provides client- based VPN solutions.
